Yazid ibn Harun told us, Sulayman al-Taymi told us, from Abu al-'Ala', from Samurah ibn Jundub, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was brought a bowl of tharid, and they took turns eating it until midday from morning — people would stand up and others would sit down. A man said to him, 'Was it being replenished?' He said, 'Why are you surprised? It was only being replenished from up there,' and he pointed to the sky.
