Isma'il ibn Ulayyah told us, from Bahz ibn Hakim, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I heard the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say concerning every free-grazing herd of camels: "For every forty, a two-year-old female camel; the camels are not to be separated for the purpose of manipulating their assessment. Whoever gives it seeking reward, his reward is his; but whoever withholds it, we will indeed take it from him, along with half of his camels, as a determined obligation from the obligations of our Lord, Mighty and Glorious - it is not lawful for the family of Muhammad to take any of it."
