حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ عِصَامٍ أَنَّ شَيْخًا حَدَّثَهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ فَقَالَ هِيَ الصَّلَاةُ بَعْضُهَا شَفْعٌ وَبَعْضُهَا وَتْرٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Dawud told us, Hammam told us, from Qatadah, from Imran ibn Isam, that an elder from the people of Basra told him, from Imran ibn Husayn, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the even and the odd, and he said: "It is the prayer; some of it is even and some of it is odd."
