حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ شَكَّ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ فِي الْحَوْضِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ جُلَسَاءُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْكَ الْأَمِيرُ لِيَسْأَلَكَ عَنْ الْحَوْضِ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِ شَيْئًا قَالَ نَعَمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُهُ فَمَنْ كَذَّبَ بِهِ فَلَا سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from Matar, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah al-Aslami, who said: Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad doubted concerning the Basin, so he sent for Abu Barzah al-Aslami, and he came to him. The companions of Ubaydullah said to him, "The commander has sent for you only to ask you about the Basin, whether you heard anything from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about it." He said, "Yes, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, mention it: whoever denies it, may Allah not give him to drink from it."
