حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَن أَبِي السَّلِيلِ عَن زَهْدَمٍ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَسْتَحْمِلُهُ فَقَالَ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثِ ذَوْدٍ بُقْعِ الذُّرَى قَالَ فَقُلْتُ حَلَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَحْمِلَنَا ثُمَّ حَمَلَنَا فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ حَلَفْتَ أَنْ لَا تَحْمِلَنَا فَحَمَلْتَنَا فَقَالَ لَمْ أَحْمِلْكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَمَلَكُمْ وَاللَّهِ لَا أَحْلِفُ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَأَرَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِلَّا أَتَيْتُهُ أَبُو السَّلِيلِ ضُرَيْبُ بْنُ نُقَيْرٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yazid ibn Harun told us: Sulayman - meaning al-Taymi - informed us, from Abu al-Salil, from Zahdam, from Abu Musa, who said: We came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, seeking mounts, and he said, "No, by Allah, I will not give you mounts." Then when we returned, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent us three she-camels with white humps. He said: I said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, swore not to give us mounts, then he gave us mounts." So we came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, you swore not to give us mounts, yet you have given us mounts." He said, "I did not give you mounts, but Allah gave you mounts. By Allah, I do not swear an oath and then see something better than it, except that I do that better thing." Abu al-Salil is Duraib ibn Nuqayr.
