Ali b. Abdullah told us: Husayn b. Ali al-Ju'fi told us, from Mujammi' b. Yahya b. Zayd b. Jariya al-Ansari, who said: I heard him mention it from Sa'id b. Abi Burda, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who said: We prayed the Maghrib with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, then we said, "What if we waited until we prayed the Isha with him?" He said: So we waited, and he came out to us and said, "Are you still here?" We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, we said we would pray the Isha with you." He said, "You have done well," or "You have done right." Then he raised his head to the sky - he said: he used to raise his head to the sky often - and said, "The stars are a source of safety for the sky; when the stars go, what has been promised will come to the sky. And I am a source of safety for my companions; when I go, what has been promised will come to my companions. And my companions are a source of safety for my nation; when my companions go, what has been promised will come to my nation."
