حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَجُلَانِ مَعِي مِنْ قَوْمِي قَالَ فَأَتَيْنَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَطَبَا وَتَكَلَّمَا فَجَعَلَا يُعَرِّضَانِ بِالْعَمَلِ فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ رُئِيَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَخْوَنَكُمْ عِنْدِي مَنْ يَطْلُبُهُ فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ فَمَا اسْتَعَانَ بِهِمَا عَلَى شَيْءٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Sufyan informed us, from Isma'il b. Abi Khalid, from his brother, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: Two men came with me from my people. He said: We came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and they both spoke, addressing him, and began to hint at wanting a position. The face of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, changed, or a change was seen in his face, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The most untrustworthy of you in my view is the one who seeks it. So hold fast to the fear of Allah, Mighty and Majestic." He said: So he did not employ either of them for anything.
