حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ عَن أَبِيهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَوْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ يَعْنِي عَنِ الشَّرِيدِ كَذَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبِي قَالَ أَرْدَفَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَلْفَهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ مَعَكَ مِنْ شِعْرِ أُمَيَّةَ شَيْءٌ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَنْشِدْنِي فَأَنْشَدْتُهُ بَيْتًا فَقَالَ هِيهْ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَقُولُ هِيهْ حَتَّى أَنْشَدْتُهُ مِائَةَ بَيْتٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibrahim b. Maysara, from Amr b. al-Sharid, from his father - if Allah wills - or Ya'qub b. Asim, meaning from al-Sharid - thus my father narrated it to us - he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, made me ride behind him and said: "Do you have any of the poetry of Umayyah with you?" I said: Yes. He said: "Recite it to me." So I recited a verse to him, and he said, "Go on," and he kept saying "go on" until I had recited a hundred verses to him.
