حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ جَالِسًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ فَطَلَعَتْ جِنَازَةٌ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَارَ وَثَارَ أَصْحَابُهُ مَعَهُ فَلَمْ يَزَالُوا قِيَامًا حَتَّى نَفَذَتْ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَدْرِي مِنْ تَأَذٍّ بِهَا أَوْ مِنْ تَضَايُقِ الْمَكَانِ وَلَا أَحْسِبُهَا إِلَّا يَهُودِيًّا أَوْ يَهُودِيَّةً وَمَا سَأَلْنَا عَنْ قِيَامِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Uthman, meaning Ibn Hakim, from Kharijah ibn Zayd, from his uncle Yazid ibn Thabit, that he was sitting with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, among his companions, when a funeral bier appeared. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw it, he rose, and his companions rose with him, and they remained standing until it had passed. He said: By Allah, I do not know whether it was out of discomfort at it or due to the narrowness of the place, and I do not think it was other than a Jewish man or woman; and we did not ask about his, peace and blessings be upon him, standing.
