حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَجْلَحُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ أُتِيَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ نَفَرٍ إِذْ كَانَ بِالْيَمَنِ اشْتَرَكُوا فِي وَلَدٍ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَضَمِنَ الَّذِي أَصَابَتْهُ الْقُرْعَةُ ثُلُثَيْ الدِّيَةِ وَجَعَلَ الْوَلَدَ لَهُ قَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِقَضَاءِ عَلِيٍّ فَضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Surayj ibn al-Nu'man told us: Hushaym told us: al-Ajlah informed us, from al-Sha'bi, from Abu al-Khalil, from Zayd ibn Arqam: that Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was brought a case of three men, while he was in Yemen, who had shared in fathering a child, so he cast lots among them, and the one upon whom the lot fell was made responsible for two-thirds of the blood-money, and the child was assigned to him. Zayd ibn Arqam said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and informed him of Ali's judgment, and he laughed until his molar teeth showed.
