حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ هُوَ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاشْتَرَطَ عَلَيَّ النُّصْحَ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ فَإِنِّي لَكُمْ لَنَاصِحٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Rahman — that is Ibn Mahdi — told us: Sufyan told us, from Ziyad ibn 'Ilaqah, who said: I heard Jarir ibn Abdullah upon the pulpit saying: I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he stipulated upon me sincere counsel to every Muslim, so I am indeed sincere toward you.
