Waki' told us: Ibn Abi Khalid told us, from Qays, from Jarir: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: Will you not relieve me of Dhu'l-Khalasah, a house of Khath'am that used to be worshipped in the Age of Ignorance, called the Yemeni Ka'bah? He said: So we set out toward it with a hundred and fifty riders. He said: We destroyed it or burned it, until we left it like a mangy camel. He said: Then Jarir sent word to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, giving him the good news of that. He said: When he came to him, he said: By the One who sent you with the truth, O Messenger of Allah, I did not come to you until we had left it like a mangy camel. He said: So he invoked blessing upon Ahmas, its horses, and its men five times. He said: I said, O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who cannot stay firm upon horses. So he placed his hand upon my face until I felt its coolness, and he said: O Allah, make him a rightly-guided guide.
