حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ قَالَ لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ نَابِلٍ صَاحِبِ الْعَبَاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَرَرْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَسَلَّمْتُ فَرَدَّ إِلَيَّ إِشَارَةً وَقَالَ لَا أَعْلَمُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِشَارَةً بِإِصْبَعِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hajjaj ibn Muhammad told us, he said: Layth, meaning Ibn Sa'd, said: Bakr, meaning Ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, told me, from Nabil, the companion of the cloak, from Abdullah ibn Umar, from Suhayb, the companion of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: I passed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was praying, and I greeted him with salam, and he returned the greeting to me with a gesture. He said: I do not know except that he said it was a gesture with his finger.
