حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ثَنَا أَبُو رَاشِدٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَتَجَوَّزَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ لَقَدْ قُلْتَ قَوْلًا شِفَاءً فَلَوْ أَنَّكَ أَطَلْتَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ نُطِيلَ الْخُطْبَةَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Numayr told us: al-Ala' ibn Salih told us, from Adi ibn Thabit: Abu Rashid told us, who said: Ammar ibn Yasir delivered a sermon to us and kept it brief. A man from Quraysh said to him: "You have spoken a healing word - if only you had made it longer." He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us to make the sermon long."
