حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ وَالْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ { وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ }.

Waki' told us: Mis'ar and al-Mas'udi told us, from al-Walid ibn Sari', from 'Amr ibn Hurayth, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recite in the Fajr prayer When the sun is wrapped up, and I heard him say, By the night when it departs.
