حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَن عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ أَبِي مُوسَى يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ هَذَا أَوْ نَحْوَ هَذَا الْمَعْنَى وَإِذَا نَامَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَحْيَا وَبِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far said, Shu'bah told us, from Abdullah ibn Abi al-Safar, who said: I heard Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrating from al-Bara', that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he woke up, would say: "Praise be to Allah who gave us life after having caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection." Shu'bah said: this or something of this meaning. And when he went to sleep, he would say: "O Allah, in Your name I live and in Your name I die."
