Husayn ibn Muhammad told us, Isra'il told us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, carrying dirt from the trench until the dust covered the skin of his belly, while he recited the words of Abdullah ibn Rawahah: "O Allah, were it not for You we would not have been guided, nor would we have given charity, nor would we have prayed. So send down tranquility upon us, and make our feet firm when we meet the enemy. Indeed those who have transgressed against us, if they desire dissension, we refuse."
