Yahya ibn Sa'id told us: Sufyan told us: Abu Ishaq told me, he said: A man said to al-Bara', "O Abu Umarah, did you flee on the day of Hunayn?" He said, "No, by Allah, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not flee, but the hasty ones among the people fled, and Hawazin met them with arrows. I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on his white mule, while Abu Sufyan ibn al-Harith held its reins, and he was saying, 'I am the Prophet, no lie, I am the son of Abd al-Muttalib.'"
