Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash told us: Abu Ishaq told us, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions set out—he said: We entered into the state of pilgrim consecration for Hajj—and when we arrived in Mecca, he said, "Make your Hajj into an Umrah." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, we have entered consecration for Hajj—how can we make it an Umrah?" He said, "Look at what I command you and do it." But they pressed him with objections, so he became angry, then went off until he entered upon Aishah, angry. She saw the anger in his face and said, "Who has angered you? May Allah anger him." He said, "Why should I not be angry, when I give a command and it is not followed?"
