Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, from Firas, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, from Abdullah, regarding a man who married a woman and died without consummating the marriage with her and without having fixed a dower for her: he said, "She has the dower, she must observe the waiting period, and she has the inheritance." Then Ma'qil b. Sinan said, "I witnessed the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, give this judgment regarding Birwa bint Washiq." Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Abdullah, similarly to the hadith of Firas.
