Sufyan told us, from Abdah and Abd al-Malik: they heard Warrad — meaning he wrote to him regarding al-Mughirah — that Mu'awiyah wrote to him, "Write to me something you heard from the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him." So al-Mughirah wrote to him: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say, "There is no god but God alone, without partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is powerful over all things."
