حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ مُغِيرَةُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ وَرَّادٍ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ الْمُغِيرَةُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ انْصِرَافِهِ مِنْ الصَّلَاةِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَكَثْرَةِ السُّؤَالِ وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ وَمَنْعٍ وَهَاتِ وَعُقُوقِ الْأُمَّهَاتِ وَوَأْدِ الْبَنَاتِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hushaym told us, more than one person informed us, among them Mughirah, from al-Sha'bi, from Warrad, the scribe of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, that Mu'awiyah wrote to al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, "Write to me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him." He said: So al-Mughirah wrote to him: I heard him say, when finishing the prayer, "There is no god but God alone, without partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is powerful over all things," three times, and he used to forbid gossip and idle talk, excessive questioning, wasting wealth, withholding what is due while demanding what is not due, undutifulness to mothers, and burying daughters alive.
