And he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say — a man came to him and said, 'Ask Allah for rain for Mudar.' He said, 'You are indeed bold — rain for Mudar?' The man said, 'O Messenger of Allah, you sought Allah's help, Mighty and Sublime, and He helped you, and you called upon Allah, Mighty and Sublime, and He answered you.' He said: So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, raised his hands, saying: 'O Allah, send us relieving rain, fruitful, wholesome, abundant and plentiful, immediate and not delayed, beneficial and not harmful.' He said: So they were revived by it. He said: They had not stayed long before they came to him complaining of the abundance of rain, saying, 'The houses have collapsed.' He said: So he raised his hands and said, 'O Allah, around us and not upon us.' He said: So the clouds began to break apart to the right and to the left.
