Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, he said: Sulayman ibn Atiq informed me, from Abdullah ibn Babayh, from some of the sons of Ya'la ibn Umayyah, from Ya'la ibn Umayyah, who said: I was with Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, and he touched the Corner. Ya'la said: I was close to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. When I reached the western corner adjacent to the Black Corner, and bent down in front of him to touch it, he said, "What is the matter with you?" I said, "Will you not touch these two?" He said, "Did you not circumambulate with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?" I said, "Yes indeed." He said, "Did you see him touch these two?" — meaning the two western corners. I said, "No." He said, "Then you have no good example in it." I said, "Yes indeed." He said, "Then go on your way."
