حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَؤُمَّ قَوْمَهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ أَمَّ قَوْمًا فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَالْمَرِيضَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ فَإِذَا صَلَّى وَحْدَهُ فَلْيُصَلِّ كَيْفَ شَاءَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Uthman narrated to us: Musa ibn Talhah narrated to me, that Uthman ibn Abi al-'As told him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded him to lead his people in prayer. He said: Then he said: 'Whoever leads a people in prayer, let him shorten it, for among them are the weak, the elderly, the sick, and those with pressing needs; but when he prays alone, let him pray however he wishes.'
