Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, he said: Shu'bah told us, from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu Tha'labah, that he asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the cooking pots of the People of the Book. He said: If you find no others, wash them and cook [in them]. And he asked him about the meat of domestic donkeys, and he forbade that, and [forbade the meat of] every fanged predator.
