حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُسْرٍ صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْخًا قَالَ كَانَ أَشَبَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنْ كَانَ فِي لِحْيَتِهِ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ فِي عَنْفَقَتِهِ شَعَرَاتٌ بِيضٌ.

Abu al-Nadr told us, Hariz ibn Uthman told us, who said: I asked Abdullah ibn Busr, a companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: 'Was the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, an old man?' He said: 'He was more youthful than that, but there were white hairs in his beard,' and sometimes he said, 'in the tuft of hair beneath his lower lip.'
