حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ عُتْبَةُ يَقُولُ عِرْبَاضٌ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَعِرْبَاضٌ يَقُولُ عُتْبَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي سَبَقَنِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَنَةٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Hakam ibn Nafi' told us: Isma'il ibn Ayyash told us, from Damdam ibn Zur'ah, from Shurayh ibn Ubayd, who said: Utbah used to say, 'Irbad is better than me,' while Irbad used to say, 'Utbah is better than me, for he preceded me to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, by a year.'
