حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَاسِجٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فَمَنْ دُونَهُمَا عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ قُومُوا فَقَاتِلُوا قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا نَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لِمُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام انْطَلِقْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ وَلَكِنْ انْطَلِقْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ فَقَاتِلَا وَإِنَّا مَعَكُمَا نُقَاتِلُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hisham ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Hasan ibn Ayyub al-Hadrami narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Nasij al-Hadrami narrated to me - and he had reached the time of Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and those after them - from Utbah ibn Abd al-Sulami, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his companions: 'Rise up and fight.' They said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah, and we will not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses, peace be upon him: Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we will sit here. Rather: Go, you and your Lord, O Muhammad, and fight; we are with you both, fighting.'
