حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ وَحَبَشِيٌّ مُمْسِكٌ بِخِطَامِهَا.

Muhammad ibn Ubayd told us; Isma'il — meaning Ibn Abi Khalid — told us, from Qays ibn A'idh, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, addressing the people while on a she-camel, with an Abyssinian man holding its nose-rein.
