Hashim ibn al-Qasim told us, Layth told us, Qabath ibn Razin told us, from Ali ibn Rabah, from Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us while we were studying the Qur'an together, and said: Learn the Qur'an and hold fast to it. Qabath said: And I do not know him except that he also said: and recite it melodiously, for it escapes more readily than pregnant she-camels escape from their hobbles.
