Hasan al-Ashyab narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'a narrated to us, he said: Ubaydullah ibn al-Mughira narrated it to us, from Ya'la ibn Shaddad ibn Aws, who said: Shaddad ibn Aws said: Abu Dharr used to hear a hadith from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, containing strictness, then he would go out to his people and greet them, perhaps being strict with them; then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would later grant a concession regarding it, but Abu Dharr would not hear of that, so Abu Dharr would hold fast to the strict ruling.
