Muhammad ibn Yazid narrated to us: Abu al-Ala', meaning al-Qassab, narrated to us, from Qatada, from Abu Qilaba, from Abu al-Ash'ath, from Abu Asma', from Shaddad ibn Aws, who said: I was with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Medina - and that was on the eighteenth day that had passed of Ramadan - and he saw a man having himself cupped, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The cupper and the one cupped have both broken their fast.
