Waki' and Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, they said: al-A'mash narrated to us from Umarah ibn Umayr al-Taymi, from Abu Ma'mar Abd Allah ibn Sakhbarah al-Azdi, from Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to wipe our shoulders during prayer - Waki' said - and he would say: Stand straight and do not differ, lest your hearts differ. Let those of you who are mature in mind and understanding stand closest to me, then those next to them, then those next to them. Abu Mas'ud said: And today you are more given to differing.
