حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَأَقْدَمُهُمْ قِرَاءَةً فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَكْبَرُهُمْ سِنًّا وَلَا يُؤَمَّنَّ الرَّجُلُ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَلَا فِي أَهْلِهِ وَلَا يُجْلَسُ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ أَوْ يَأْذَنَ لَكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya narrated to us from Shu'bah, who said: Isma'il ibn Raja' narrated to me - and Isma'il, meaning Ibn Ulayyah, said: Shu'bah [narrated] from Isma'il ibn Raja', from Aws ibn Dam'aj, from Abu Mas'ud, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Let the one most versed in reciting the Book of Allah and the earliest of them in learning to recite lead the people in prayer; and if they are equal in recitation, then the one who emigrated earliest; and if they are equal in emigration, then the eldest of them in age. And no man should lead another in prayer within his authority - Isma'il said: nor within his household - nor should one sit in his place of honor - Isma'il said: in his house - except with his permission, or unless he grants you leave.
