حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ الْهُنَائِيِّ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ لِنَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ جُلُودِ النُّمُورِ أَنْ يُرْكَبَ عَلَيْهَا قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ لِبَاسِ الذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مُقَطَّعًا قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الشُّرْبِ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُتْعَةِ يَعْنِي مُتْعَةَ الْحَجِّ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ لَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us from Qatada from Abu Shaykh al-Hunaji: that Mu'awiya said to a group of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade riding upon leopard skins?' They said: 'By Allah, yes.' He said: 'And do you know that he forbade wearing gold except in small pieces?' They said: 'By Allah, yes.' He said: 'And do you know that he forbade drinking from vessels of gold and silver?' They said: 'By Allah, yes.' He said: 'And do you know that he forbade mut'a, meaning the mut'a of Hajj?' They said: 'By Allah, no.'
