Abu Sa'id told us: Umar ibn Farrukh told us, he said: Mus'ab ibn Nuh al-Ansari told us, he said: "I came to know an old woman of ours who was among those who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. She said: 'We came to him one day, and he took from us a pledge that we would not wail over the dead.'" The old woman said: "O Messenger of Allah, some people had comforted me at a calamity that befell me, and now a calamity has befallen them, and I wish to comfort them in return." Then she came to him and gave him the pledge, and said: "This is the recognized good (ma'ruf) that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, spoke of: 'and that they will not disobey you in anything right (ma'ruf).'"
