قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُكْلِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَهْلٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ أُرِيَ الْأَذَانَ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ أَلْقِهِ عَلَى بِلَالٍ فَأَلْقَيْتُهُ فَأَذَّنَ قَالَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُقِيمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا رَأَيْتُ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُقِيمَ قَالَ فَأَقِمْ أَنْتَ فَأَقَامَ هُوَ وَأَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab Abu al-Husayn al-'Ukli narrated to us, who said: Abu Sahl Muhammad ibn 'Amr informed me, who said: 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd informed me, from his uncle 'Abdullah ibn Zayd, that he was shown [in a dream] the call to prayer. He said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and told him about it, so he said: "Teach it to Bilal." So I taught it to him, and he called the adhan. He said: He wanted to give the iqamah, so I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I am the one who saw it; I want to give the iqamah." He said: "Then you give the iqamah." So he gave the iqamah, and Bilal gave the adhan.
