قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قِيلَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَوْمَ الْحَرَّةِ هَلُمَّ إِلَى ابْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ قَالَ عَلَامَ يُبَايِعُهُمْ قَالُوا عَلَى الْمَوْتِ قَالَ لَا أُبَايِعُ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدًا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
He said: Mu'ammal narrated to us, who said: Wuhayb narrated to us, who said: 'Amr ibn Yahya narrated to us, from his father, who said: It was said to 'Abdullah ibn Zayd on the Day of al-Harrah: "Come to Ibn Hanzalah, who is taking the people's pledge of allegiance." He said: "On what does he take their pledge?" They said: "On death." He said: "I will not pledge allegiance to anyone on that after the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him."
