Waki' told us: Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja'far told us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Abu Shurayh al-Khuza'i, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Hospitality is three days, and its special provision is a day and a night. And it is not lawful for a man to stay with anyone until he causes him to sin." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, how would he cause him to sin?" He said: "He stays with him while he has nothing with which to host him."
