قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ الْفِرْيَةِ ثَلَاثٌ أَنْ يَفْتَرِيَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى عَيْنَيْهِ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ وَلَمْ يَرَ وَأَنْ يَفْتَرِيَ عَلَى وَالِدَيْهِ يُدْعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ وَأَنْ يَقُولَ قَدْ سَمِعْتُ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Zayd b. al-Hubab narrated to us: Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to us: Rabi'ah b. Yazid al-Dimashqi narrated to me: I heard Wathilah b. al-Asqa' say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "The greatest falsehood is three: that a man falsely claims about his own eyes, saying 'I saw' when he did not see; that he falsely claims regarding his parents, being attributed to other than his true father; and that he says 'I have heard' when he did not hear."
