حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, saying: I heard Abu Malik al-Ashja'i relate from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: Someone who had seen the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, praying in a single garment, having crossed its two ends [over his shoulders], informed me.
