حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْدِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُقَصُّ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَصَّ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَنْ يَقُصَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ قَائِمًا فَأَذِنَ لَهُ عُمَرُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid narrated that there was no storytelling during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) or Abu Bakr. The first person to tell stories publicly was Tamim al-Dari, who asked Umar ibn al-Khattab for permission to tell stories to the people while standing, and Umar permitted him.
