حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ خَنْبَشٍ كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ كَادَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ قَالَ جَاءَتْ الشَّيَاطِينُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْأَوْدِيَةِ وَتَحَدَّرَتْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الْجِبَالِ وَفِيهِمْ شَيْطَانٌ مَعَهُ شُعْلَةٌ مِنْ نَارٍ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُحْرِقَ بِهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَرُعِبَ قَالَ جَعْفَرٌ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ جَعَلَ يَتَأَخَّرُ قَالَ وَجَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ قُلْ قَالَ مَا أَقُولُ قَالَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ الَّتِي لَا يُجَاوِزُهُنَّ بَرٌّ وَلَا فَاجِرٌ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَذَرَأَ وَبَرَأَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا يَنْزِلُ مِنْ السَّمَاءِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا ذَرَأَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتَنِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ طَارِقٍ إِلَّا طَارِقًا يَطْرُقُ بِخَيْرٍ يَا رَحْمَنُ فَطَفِئَتْ نَارُ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَهَزَمَهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us: Ja'far ibn Sulayman told us: Abu al-Tayyah told us: A man asked Abd al-Rahman ibn Khanbash: "How did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, act when the devils sought to harm him?" He said: "The devils came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, from the valleys, and descended upon him from the mountains, and among them was a devil carrying a flame of fire, wanting to burn the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with it." He said: "So he was frightened" - Ja'far said, I think he said - "and he began to draw back." He said: "And Jibril, peace be upon him, came and said: 'O Muhammad, say.' He said: 'What shall I say?' He said: 'Say: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah, which neither the righteous nor the sinner can overstep, from the evil of what He has created, formed, and brought into being, and from the evil of what descends from the sky and what ascends into it, and from the evil of what He has spread upon the earth and what comes out of it, and from the evil of the trials of night and day, and from the evil of every visitor by night, except a visitor by night who brings good, O Most Merciful.' So the devils' fire was extinguished, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, routed them."
