حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي أَتَيْتُ بِكُتْلَةِ تَمْرٍ فَعَجَمْتُهَا فِي فَمِي فَوَجَدْتُ فِيهَا نَوَاةً آذَتْنِي فَلَفَظْتُهَا ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ أُخْرَى فَعَجَمْتُهَا فَوَجَدْتُ فِيهَا نَوَاةً فَلَفَظْتُهَا ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ أُخْرَى فَعَجَمْتُهَا فَوَجَدْتُ فِيهَا نَوَاةً فَلَفَظْتُهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ دَعْنِي فَلْأَعْبُرْهَا قَالَ قَالَ اعْبُرْهَا قَالَ هُوَ جَيْشُكَ الَّذِي بَعَثْتَ يَسْلَمُ وَيَغْنَمُ فَيَلْقَوْنَ رَجُلًا فَيَنْشُدُهُمْ ذِمَّتَكَ فَيَدَعُونَهُ ثُمَّ يَلْقَوْنَ رَجُلًا فَيَنْشُدُهُمْ ذِمَّتَكَ فَيَدَعُونَهُ ثُمَّ يَلْقَوْنَ رَجُلًا فَيَنْشُدُهُمْ ذِمَّتَكَ فَيَدَعُونَهُ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الْمَلَكُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ali ibn Abdullah told us, Sufyan told us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I saw as though I had been brought a lump of dates, and I chewed it in my mouth, and I found in it a date-stone that hurt me, so I spat it out. Then I took another and chewed it, and found in it a stone, so I spat it out. Then I took another and chewed it, and found in it a stone, so I spat it out." Abu Bakr said, "Let me interpret it." He said, "Interpret it." He said, "It is your army which you sent out; they will be kept safe and will gain spoils, and they will meet a man who will implore them by your covenant of protection, and they will leave him; then they will meet another man who will implore them by your covenant of protection, and they will leave him; then they will meet another man who will implore them by your covenant of protection, and they will leave him." He said, "Is that so?" The angel said, "[Yes,] that is so."
