Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd told us, al-A'mash told us, from Abu Salih, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, delivered a sermon to us on the Day of Sacrifice, and said, "Which day is greatest in sanctity?" They said, "This day of ours." He said, "Which month is greatest in sanctity?" They said, "This month of ours." He said, "Which land is greatest in sanctity?" They said, "This land of ours." He said, "Then indeed your blood and your wealth are sacred to you as the sanctity of this day of yours, in this land of yours, in this month of yours. Have I conveyed the message?" They said, "Yes." He said, "O Allah, bear witness." 'Ali ibn Bahr told us, 'Isa ibn Yunus told us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said this in the Farewell Pilgrimage, and he mentioned something similar in meaning.
