Hashim told us, Shu'bah told us, Amr ibn Murrah and Husayn ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: We were afflicted by thirst at al-Hudaybiyyah, so we rushed anxiously to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while there was a small basin with water in front of him. He put his fingers in it like this, and said: "Take it, in the name of Allah." The water began to gush out from between his fingers like springs, and it was enough for us and sufficed us - and Husayn said in his narration: "so we drank and performed ablution."
