Yahya ibn Hammad told us, Abu Awanah told us, from Abu Bishr, from Sulayman ibn Qays, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Medina — its people will leave it while its dates are still ripe." They said: "Then who will eat them, O Messenger of God?" He said: "Wild beasts and birds of prey." Abu Awanah said: I was told that Abu Bishr said this was in the book of Sulayman ibn Qays.
