حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا سَيَّارٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي بُعِثْتُ إِلَى الْأَحْمَرِ وَالْأَسْوَدِ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ إِنَّمَا يُبْعَثُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ خَاصَّةً وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ عَامَّةً وَأُحِلَّتْ لِي الْغَنَائِمُ وَلَمْ تُحَلَّ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ شَهْرٍ وَجُعِلَتْ لِي الْأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا فَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَدْرَكَتْهُ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُصَلِّ حَيْثُ أَدْرَكَتْهُ.

Hushaym told us, Sayyar informed us, from Yazid al-Faqir, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I have been given five things which no one before me was given: I was sent to the red and the black [all mankind], whereas a prophet used to be sent only to his own people specifically, while I was sent to all people generally; the spoils of war were made lawful for me, and they were not made lawful for anyone before me; I was granted victory through awe cast into the hearts of the enemy from a month's distance; the earth was made for me a means of purification and a place of prayer, so whichever man is overtaken by the time of prayer, let him pray wherever he is."
