حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَسِيرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَصْرٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ وَرَجَوْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِي قَالَ قَالَ لَعُمَرَ قَالَ ثُمَّ سِرْتُ سَاعَةً فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَصْرٍ خَيْرٍ مِنْ الْقَصْرِ الْأَوَّلِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ وَرَجَوْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِي قَالَ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ وَإِنَّ فِيهِ لَمِنْ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ يَا أَبَا حَفْصٍ وَمَا مَنَعَنِي أَنْ أَدْخُلَهُ إِلَّا غَيْرَتُكَ قَالَ فَاغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَا عُمَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا عَلَيْكَ فَلَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَغَارَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'While I was walking in Paradise, I came upon a palace. I said: For whom is this, O Jibril? And I hoped it would be mine. He said: It is for Umar. Then I walked for a while and came upon a palace better than the first. I said: For whom is this, O Jibril? And I hoped it would be mine. He said: It is for Umar. And in it are the Hur al-Ayn, O Abu Hafs! Nothing prevented me from entering it except your sense of honor (ghayrah).' Umar's eyes welled up with tears, then he said: 'As for you, O Messenger of Allah, I would never feel jealous regarding you.'
